Our Story

Bunce Buildings was founded in 1986 as a family owned and operated business by D. L. and Betty Bunce with son, Graham Bunce.  What started as one sales lot in Lexington, North Carolina has grown to six Bunce Buildings locations and many independent dealers throughout the region.  In the early years, Bunce Buildings only sold OPBs (other people’s buildings).  Concerned about quality, consistency and price, however, we decided to join forces with one of our best suppliers to start building our own buildings in 1998.  With our partner in manufacturing, Bunce Buildings now produces all its buildings, garages and gazebos and is celebrating over 25 years in business.   Bunce Buildings’ philosophy has always been to “be fair to our customers, insure a quality product at a fair and equitable price and remember that customer satisfaction will determine the success or failure of this company”.  In other words, our customers are our number one concern; and because we want to continue to grow for many more years to come, we intend to keep it that way!

Call or visit any of our Bunce Buildings locations around the Triad area and find out why we believe every product we offer is “Better Buy Bunce.”

Valentine’s Day is a celebrated occurrence that expresses love and affection toward someone close to you, such as a family member or special someone. For Craig McCall, his admiration was for his girlfriend Holly Crisp.

What better time to propose than on the most romantic weekend of the year? He asked Crisp to be his wife Sunday at the gazebo in front of Conrad and Hinkle on the Square.

“We went to church and went downtown to eat like we normally do,” he said. “I asked her if she had ever been inside a gazebo before and when she said no, I said let’s step inside. It made me feel special and important to make a good difference and feel so special because she makes me feel special.”

McCall, 29, had been planning the proposal for nearly three months. He had his parents, Tommy and Marty Younts, help decorate the gazebo with balloons and crepe paper so when they arrived at the Square Crisp would be surprised.

The gazebo Craig proposed to Holly in was provided by Bunce Buildings.
